Faculty Brief

The Faculty of Pharmacy is one of the tributaries of the health education that contributes to the comprehensive development that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is currently witnessing, and it aims at improving health and medical services provided to citizens. The faculty took on itself to graduate qualified heath cadres to work in the health care sector. The Faculty of Pharmacy was established in 1990 to be one of the faculties of the prestigious Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the first private university in Jordan. The faculty, with its three departments: Pharmaceutical sciences, Pharmaceutics & pharmaceutical technology, and Biopharmaceutics & clinical pharmacy, is continually concerned with developing the training and educational systems. Therefore, and in fulfillment of the faculty’s aspiration to rise with the level of education and to increase the pace of scientific research, a graduate program in pharmaceutical sciences was created in 2009 and a Pharmacological and Diagnostic Research Centre (PDRC) was created in 2020. They aim to maintain the internal and external quality level of the pharmaceutical educational system and to balance the outcomes of the pharmaceutical educational system with the labor market needs.
