Practical Training

Based on the instructions of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, all students are trained within the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as these instructions apply to all university students.

Training takes place in any of the following pharmaceutical institutions: community pharmacies, pharmaceutical factories, medical services, the Ministry of Health, private or government hospitals, and the virtual (Simulated) pharmacy within the Faculty.

Field training is a mandatory requirement for graduation.

The student has the right to start training from the first semester of the second university year.

The hours of pharmaceutical field training shall be in accordance with the instructions at the university and as follows:

Training Procedures:

• The student submits the training start notification and a copy of it to the committee within a maximum period of five working days from the start of the training and to be returned to him signed by the Chair of practical training committee within a week of its delivery.

• The student fills out the log book for medicines, signs and seals it with the seal of the pharmacy in which he is training, and delivers it when signing the training forms.

• The name of the trainee is recorded in the "Log Book" of the virtual (Simulated)  pharmacy, provided that it includes the students name, phone, pharmacy, address, landline phone and the name of the pharmacist supervising the training until he is followed up in the place of his training by the members of the committee.

• If the training committee finds during the inspection tour that the student is not present in the pharmacy in which he is trained, he will be given an initial warning, and if the absence is repeated, his training is considered void.

• A maximum of four hours of training is calculated per day during the semester.

• A maximum of six hours of training is calculated per day during the holidays.

• The month of training is calculated as twenty working days only.

• In the event of a desire to train eight hours a day during the holidays, the student must obtain the prior approval of the Chairman of the practical training Committee directly.

• The student receives the training forms assigned to the virtual  (Simulated) pharmacy (beginning of training and end of training) provided that they are numbered and signed by a member of the training committee.

• The student fills in his information on the training book in a blue color and in a clear font.

• The student brings the end of training form signed by the responsible pharmacist and duly stamped with the pharmacy seal and attached to the training log book, then it is checked and signed by a member of the practical training committee at the university and then by the committee chairman and stamped with the seal the Faculty.

• The student submits training forms to the training committee at the university within a maximum period of one month from the date of the end of the training period in the pharmaceutical institution (in one semester). No training form outside the scope of the current academic year will be approved or accepted. Training papers are not accepted and brought in once.

• The university calculates the training hours for the student cumulatively and then delivers the training forms to the student to keep them.

• Training forms are filled out at the beginning and end of the training by the training authority and are considered null if any abrasion, obliteration or change occurred in them.

• The Jordanian student (for the purpose of affiliation with the Syndicate) after passing the exam of the Jordan Pharmacists Syndicate and obtaining a certificate of success in training, must attend the certificate for signature from the Chair of practical training committee, and then deliver a copy of this certificate to the virtual  (Simulated) pharmacy and another to the Admission and Registration Department. This certificate is considered a graduation requirement for pharmacy students.

• A non-Jordanian or Jordanian student (for graduation purposes) after passing the training exam inside the university and obtaining a certificate of success in training, must attend the certificate for signature from the Chair of practical training committee, and then hand over a copy of this certificate to the virtual (Simulated)  pharmacy and another to the Admission and Registration Department. This certificate is considered a graduation requirement for pharmacy students.

• The bridged student:

• Those who hold a diploma in pharmacy and have a working period of at least one year are exempted from training hours as a graduation requirement.

• Those who hold a diploma in pharmacy and do not have any training are fully trained without any exemptions.

• One hundred hours of training is calculated for each student who holds a training diploma from Al-Ahliyya Amman University and is recognized by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education in cooperation with leading institutions in any of the pharmaceutical fields.
